A finely carved and important 19th century figure of a girl holding a serpent in one hand and grapes in the other, in Carrera marble.
Signed by the master sculptor, Odoardo Fantacchioti (1811-1877) of the late neo-classical period. Renowned for his work currently in The Uffizi in Florence, the V & A in London, the Quirinal Palace in Rome amongst many other important private collections.
