Highly collectible and very rare 'Water Plant' Cast Iron garden bench. Circa 1875.
The back beautifully cast with pierced foliate motifs above downswept open arms enclosing a wooden slatted seat, on tapering legs joined by foliate stretchers.
Designed by Christopher Dresser (1834-1904) for the Coalbrookdale Company.
